Our Journey
The parent organization of Sankul Capital Services is Sankul Foundation, established in the year 2015 as a Charitable Trust to engage with the rural poor for bringing them out of poverty in a sustainable manner. Working as SHPI for NABARD in partnership with Society For The Promotion of Youth & Masses since 2015, Sankul Foundation promoted more than 350 Self Help Groups in Hathin block of Palwal district. We linked more than 275 groups with Banks, mainly Canara Bank and Sarva Haryana Grameen Bank, credit linked around 175 groups and ensured full repayment of loans. Sankul Foundation facilitated 50 income generation loans from Syndicate Bank, Uttawar Bank (Rs. 1 lakh each) for purchase of buffalo for women SHG members of Ferozepur Rajput and ensured timely repayment of loans. It then set up a registered Community Based Organization by the name of Navchetna Mahila Block Federation in December 2016 which had membership of around 1400 women from over 350 Self Help Groups promoted by Sankul Foundation. The Federation successfully rotated more than Rs. 3 crore from the corpus created by savings of the poor women, belonging to Self Help Groups created by Sankul Foundation. The Federation also supported various income generating activities such as tailoring unit, Agarbatti making unit, sanitary napkin making unit, drinking water plants etc.

Based on our learning, Sankul Capital Services Pvt. Ltd was set up on 15th May, 2021 to provide last mile service delivery of banking products to the poorest of poor in the remotest villages where formal credit services have not reached.
